Romney Takes Indirect Shots at Trump During ‘Black Lives Matter’ March Towards White House

Senator Mitt Romney participated in a ‘Black Lives Matter’ protest today in Washington DC that headed towards the White House and President Trump.

When asked why it was important for him to be out protesting, Romney told NBC News: “We need a voice against racism, we need many voices against racism and against brutality. And we need to stand up and say that black lives matter.”

On Twitter, he also shared a couple of pictures from the march with the words, “Black Lives Matter.”

Yesterday, Romney shared a picture of his father marching in Detroit in the late 60s in a tweet, quoting him by saying, “Force alone will not eliminate riots. We must eliminate the problems from which they stem.”
