Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis received a massive ovation last night after being welcomed to the stage by country music star Luke Bryan at a Florida concert.
Bryan reportedly made the move as he announced that will donate proceeds from his upcoming Estero, Florida concert to the Florida Disaster Fund.
The Florida Disaster Fund is the State of Florida’s official private fund established to provide financial assistance to communities as they respond to and recover from times of emergency or disaster and in partnership with public, private, and other non-governmental organizations, it supports response and recovery activities
In a clip that went viral on Twitter, Bryan declares, “We’re gonna have some fun and we’re going to raise some money tonight for the great state of Florida.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to stage, Governor Ron DeSantis everyone” Bryan adds as the crowd goes crazy.

DeSantis also reportedly told the crowd, “The state of Florida had to deal with the major hurricane last month and it’s not easy to deal with, it’s hurt a lot of people.”
“Though I can tell you this, show me any other state that can rebuild bridges in three days. I don’t think you can find that,” DeSantis explained.
Bryan, who is from Georgia, also gave DeSantis a Georgia Bulldogs football jersey in good fun relating to the Georgia-Florida rivalry game.
DeSantis later tweeted about the appearance, “Thanks for letting me crash the party last night, @lukebryan!”

Leftists were predictably triggered by the move, even though Bryan didn’t explicitly endorse DeSantis, he just was simply boosting the hurricane relief.
Twitter troll “The Hoarse Whisperer,” told Bryan in response to a tweet he previously made, “High-fiving the hateful piece of sh*t, Ron DeSantis, on stage. He’s trash. Apparently, so are you.”

He’s trash. Apparently, so are you.
Another anti-Trump Twitter user urged, “@lukebryan hey @ABCNetworkv@AmericanIdol get rid of this piece of sh*t! He supports Ron DeSantis! Who is homophobic, doesn’t like transgender people! trafficking human beings throughout the United States! so how can you support Luke Bryan? Who obviously supports Ron DeSantis?!”

Those sorts of responses could very well help push someone like Bryan, who has typically been considered more liberal, in another direction.

Ron DeSantis, Kari Lake and Donald Trump have shown politics can be PRO-American. That’s a good thing! And unusual.
