While campaigning in New Hampshire, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wasn’t keen on taking questions, in the perception of one reporter.
One Twitter user pointed out DeSantis declined to take questions from the audience at his first campaign event of the day. A viral video shows DeSantis lashing out at a reporter for asking him about it while he was in a crowd.
In the video DeSantis is taking a picture with an individual. A reporter standing near him asked multiple times, “How come you’re not taking questions from voters?”
“… What are you talking about,” DeSantis started “I’m out here running with people.”
DeSantis then went on the attack and asked, “What are you BLIND?”
The reporter taken aback replied, “What?” To which DeSantis repeats, “Are you blind?” The reporter shook his head No and answered, “I’m not blind.”
“Okay so people are coming up to me and talking to me about whatever they wanna talk about,” DeSantis replied at the end of the clip.
“After declining to take audience questions after his first New Hampshire campaign event today, Ron DeSantis lashed out at a reporter for asking him about it while he was chatting with members of the crowd individually.”
Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump is stumping in Iowa. A video showed Trump campaigning. He is welcomed into a room full of supporters who enthusiastically embrace him.
“Crowd At The Machine Shed Restaurant In Iowa Welcoming President Trump “We love you President Trump!” “Welcome to Iowa!” “We’ve got your back! Thank you!” “Greatest President of all time!”
Liz Harrington shared the video with the caption “Trump Country!”
It seems early in the race for DeSantis’ fuse to be so short. Maybe he is just not a fan of being interrupted while he schmoozes potential voters.
One thing seems clear, Trump supporters are ready to see him back in office. Those in Iowa are excited he is back at it to take on Washington D.C. for them.
