The Daily Mail has been all over the story of the mostly maskless Obama 60th birthday bash with multiple reports. Of course, this is in regards to former President Barack Obama shamelessly celebrating his birthday with lots of people despite media fear about the new “delta variant” for Covid-19 spreading across the nation, even among the vaccinated reportedly.
We must add that reports say vaccinated folks are still safer than others from bad effects. There doesn’t seem to be much info either way about people with antibodies to Covid-19 but of course, that would be for another story. Anyway, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was apparently uninvited from the bash after heat from many that Obama’s party was hypocritical and was scaled down severely.
Many still went of course, but not Nancy Pelosi. We assume in our perspective that she had a few sour grapes from this as she said she had other parties to go to. ‘I didn’t go. I had other parties to go to.’ said Pelosi to a lawyer in Martha’s Vineyard, far away from D.C. and Pelosi’s home in California.
She reportedly has ironically attended church in Martha’s Vineyard as well. 300-400 people still went to Obama’s party reportedly, so there were a lot of people the Obamas felt were more important than Nancy Pelosi apparently. Daily Mail reported that Kevin Blake spoke to them about Pelosi:
‘To be her, the most powerful woman in Congress, and not even go to his party? I find that hilarious,’ Blake told DailyMail.com.
‘And she’s the one carrying forward his agenda.’
DailyMail.com on Saturday exclusively revealed the House Speaker had been cut from the list but traveled to the island regardless to attend a dinner in her honor, to be held on Sunday.
According to one well informed source Saturday afternoon brought a tense meeting as Pelosi dined with Oprah Winfrey at the elite Vineyard Havens Country Club.
In a moment of unfortunate timing, Obama had been playing golf on the private course with friends and walked into the club house just as the women dined.
It’s tough to say how this will affect Pelosi’s attitude towards Obama and maybe even Biden going forward, but we can’t assume it won’t be negative. Stay tuned for more potential updates on the riveting saga. Some tweets found floating around:
