The couple was on Tucker Carlson’s show on Fox News last week to talk about the viral incident. The fence of their neighborhood was broken and hundreds filed in and started screaming at the couple. The ‘BLM’ protests in downtown St. Louis had turned violent, this factor added to the surprise of the large crowd showing up in their front yard had the couple on edge and fearing for their lives. You can hear Mr. Mccloskey in the interview below explaining what happened that night at his home.
When the pictures of the couple first went viral, Shaun King compared the couple to those on plantations that watched lynchings.
There has been a string of incidents where those who have appeared to defend themselves are being charged for standing up or pushing back. A couple in Michigan was charged with felony assault after they had an altercation with a mother and daughter in the parking lot of a Chipotle. The confrontation can be seen below:
At this time it is unclear what statutes were violated or why exactly they were served with a search warrant. This story is still developing, stay tuned.
