Sylvester Stallone Calls ‘Tulsa King’ His Swan Song, Contemplates Retirement from Acting

It seems that Sylvester Stallone may be done with acting.

While promoting the film “Tulsa King” Stallone was asked if he would like to act and direct again. Stallone responded, “I might, but maybe not the acting. I doubt the acting aspect of it. I think this [Tulsa King] might be my swan song.”

Stallone has acted for the past 50 years. He has had great success with projects he is very involved with.

All but one of the “Rocky” movies were written and directed by Stallone, “Rocky V” which is considered the worst of the series. The “Rocky” movies are what catapulted Stallone into the limelight.

“Tulsa King” is a TV series created by Taylor Sheridan, the same man behind the TV series hit “Yellowstone”. The show is about Stallone’s character Dwight Manfredi, a mob boss exiled from New York, starting over in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The roll was customized for Stallone, who has been given freedom with the character. “I tried to make it as close to my personality as possible,” Stallone said of his role.

It appears to be a good fit for Stallone’s swan song if he so chooses.

The first season of “Tulsa King” is available on Paramount+ and has already been renewed for a second season.

It seems Stallone will go down as another anti woke or at least less woke actor. Tim Allen Clint Eastwood and others fall in there as well. Many wonder if the new generation will bring any new Stallones or not.
