California teacher that found it hilarious to have her students pledge allegiance to the inclusive pride flag has been placed on administrative leave.
In a now-viral Tik Tok video, the teacher whose name appears to be Kristin Pitzen, gives a back story to the highlight of her teaching day. During announcements at her school, she lets her students decide for themselves if they want to sit or stand for the pledge and makes it their choice if they want to say it out loud or not. Her class opted to stand but not say the pledge.

She reveals that she also took down the American flag in her classroom during COVID and packed it away because it made her uncomfortable. One student felt weird about standing and pledging allegiance to nothing. She made excuses about looking for the flag but in the video gestures that she isn’t going to look at all. She then tells the kids that he can pledge his allegiance to the other flag in the room, she turns her camera to the ‘inclusive’ Pride Flag that she put up during pride month. Pitzen finds this all hilarious and cannot contain her laughter during her video.
The video, originally posted to Tik Tok, resulted in an investigation and her removal from the classroom. The Newport-Mesa Unified School District confirmed to Newsweek the teacher is no longer instructing classes while the district continues to investigate the incident.
