Ted Cruz Stunned After Former DNC Coms. Director Claims Eric Swalwell ‘Should Get a Congressional Medal of Honor’

Republican Texas Senator Ted Cruz shared a video earlier today from a Fox News interview involving former DNC Communications Director Brad Woodhouse where he was discussing Dem. Congressman Eric Swalwell and his involvement with the suspected Chinese spy.

During the interview, Woodhouse claimed that Swalwell “Should get a congressional Medal of Honor” for the way that he handled the situation with her.

Cruz was obviously stunned, as were host Harris Faulkner and political analyst Gianno Caldwell in the clip of the exchange that he shared in a tweet and quipped, “Although his service was no doubt harrowing, I’m not sure it meets the statutory qualifications….”

Faulkner began the clip by asking Woodhouse, “Why do you think at this point, Speaker Pelosi hasn’t at least acknowledged that she may have something that she needs to say to the house, whatever it may be?”

Woodhouse responded that, “Because, with all due respect, this is not a legitimate question. Anyone who has read anything about this knows that Eric Swalwell did everything right, once he knew that this was a spy.”

“He cooperated with the FBI, he severed ties, he helped her be exposed and get kicked out of the country. We should give Eric Swalwell the Congressional Medal of Honor for his conduct,” Woodhouse explained.

At that point, Caldwell belted out, “What?” Faulkner attempted to stop by Woodhouse by saying, “Alright” multiple times and suggesting that he must “have a lot of caffeine” in his house “during this time where we are all broadcasting from basements and whatnot.”

Woodhouse would not be stopped however, and he went on to suggest that “The only reason we know about this, is because this information was leaked by Republicans, likely on the Judiciary Committee, they are the ones who should be investigated.”

Faulkner said that she had to “step in” and that Woodhouse “didn’t know that to be the case.” Faulkner then deferred to Caldwell who wondered, “My question to Brad, and I say this respectfully, have you been around open cans of paint, because that was a completely delusional round of statements you just made.”

While Caldwell attempted to continue, Woodhouse shouted, “What evidence do you have that Eric Swalwell did any wrong doing?” Caldwell still was able to get out, “This guy [Swalwell] has been lying for four years.”
