California Democrat U.S. House Reps Ted Lieu and Adam Schiff (outgoing) posed with two others in a photo. The photo is staged to imply the four are candidly standing around and chatting while random drinking beers.
The further implication in our view is that the beholder is supposed to think that all four people coincidentally selected bottles of Bud Light to consume, and that they all happen to have the Bud Light labels cleared facing the camera.
This comes after the Anheuser Busch controversy starring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. One of the other people pictured is U.S. House Rep Mark Takano, (D-CA) who is gay.
Many people on Twitter replied and quote tweeted the posted photo mocking the photo op. It seem most people regardless of political affiliation don’t like the photo op.
Part of the reason for this is that even though conservatives are boycotting Bud Light, it is being discussed by some that perhaps they should not boycott a large Republican donor.
So it seems no one is happy and one Twitter user pointed this out in one of the below examples. Lieu initially posted the photo with no written caption:
Lieu responded directly to some of the replies. One user said:
“I understand the impulse to highlight the absurdity of republicans boycott of Budweiser, but these kind of efforts are equally as infantile and unserious. Please stop it.”
Lieu:
“I mock stupid stuff by MAGA Republicans. Data shows that mockery is one of the more effective ways to get people to stop supporting extremists.”
Another user:
“Did you guys make sure the label was facing the camera… like actors?”
Lieu:
“Must have been pure coincidence”
Another user asked if Lieu normally “drinks on the job”, to which Lieu replied defensively, “Sometimes I drink at receptions, sometimes not.”
Some more tweets included:
“Haha! This reminds me of Wayne’s World. Except Wayne did it much better and it was funny instead of sad like these mopes.”
“Loser vibes”
As we mentioned earlier, one person pointed out how the brand is likely not happy:
“Here’s the thing: regardless where you fall on this controversy, Budweiser seeing its brand turned into a left vs. right battle is an absolute catastrophe for them.”
Another pointed out the staging:
“No one holds a beer like this.”

This what limpy light in the shoes people do.
Two of the most demonic beings in DC. They lie, bloviate, project and blame, over and over again and still have a job.
Why are they still there?
