In a recent tweet, commentator Leo Terrell called on residents of Chicago to move out of the city after new Democrat-elect Mayor Brandon Johnson released a weak statement in response to “teen” riots that took place over the weekend.
Although these teens taking over the streets were not as destructive as the riots in 2020, they’re showing a city out of control.
“This guy is crazy! Get out of Chicago NOW!”
Terrell added:
“Democrats will hold National Convention in Chicago next year! A match made in Hell!”
The riots that took place over the weekend were the latest in a series of violent incidents in Chicago, IL. In recent months, the city has seen a surge in shootings and homicides.
While Democrats think more gun control will solve things, Republicans think tough on crime DA’s and laws would help, which is the opposite of what many Democrat run cities are doing.
The violence has had a devastating impact on the city’s residents. In 2022, Chicago had the highest number of homicides in any city in the United States.
The city’s crime problem has been a major issue for years. However, it has become increasingly difficult to address in recent years. The city’s police department is understaffed and underfunded. And the city’s budget is strained by pension costs and other financial obligations.
Before Johnson’s victory, Terrell was a major critic of soon to be former Mayor Lori Lightfoot as well:
The situation in Chicago is a complex one. There is no easy solution to the city’s crime problem. However, it is clear that Mayor Johnson and Democrats need to do more to address the issues than expect “diversity, equity and inclusion” politics to fix things.
