Portland, Oregon’s Mayor, Ted Wheeler, has arguably contributed to the chaos led by ‘Antifa’, Black Lives Matter, and other radicals who have been rioting, looting and causing chaos in Portland, Oregon for many months. Lots of right-leaning pundits predicted that after the 2020 presidential election things would be different with the way Democrats approached the horrible situation.
Although there may not be enough specific evidence to outright prove it, one could speculate that Democrats wanted chaos and disarray during election season, even as they complained that President Trump was benefiting from footage of rioters to try to prop up his campaign.
President Trump, in our view, could have done more to stop rioting himself but was probably advised by some to take it easy so that it wouldn’t appear that he was creating a ‘police state’ during an election season, in the wake of George Floyd’s death in Minnesota, and the uproar that followed.
We have reported a few different stories about Portland’s Mayor Ted Wheeler. In fact, a peaceful Trump supporter was actually murdered by a combination ‘Black Lives Matter’ and ‘Antifa’ supporter. This was based on tattoos that the man, Michael Forest Reinoehl had and other information that made it pretty clear who he was affiliated with.
Wheeler condemned that violence, but then right afterward proceeded to somehow blame President Trump’s “rhetoric” for the murder, rather than Wheeler’s own inaction on stopping the rioters. At one point during the season of chaos, Portland’s Mayor Wheeler even tried joining a group of protesters, but he was quickly kicked out of the ‘club’ for not being radical enough in the eyes of those on the ground that day.
Later on last year, Wheeler was forced to move out of his luxury high-rise condominium in Portland due to his inability to even stop rioters from causing chaos outside of the building and making life hard for the rest of the tenants who probably just wanted to live there in peace.
After all this, a ‘contested’ presidential election where it has been reported that Joe Biden is the winner, and a chaotic riot and damage laced New Year’s Eve in the once peaceful city of Portland, Oregon, Mayor Wheeler has finally caved. In the video below he admits that his efforts of appeasement have failed and that he will have to get tougher on ‘Antifa’, and he disavows ‘any ideology’ that brings political chaos and violence.
“My good faith efforts at de-escalation have been met with ongoing violence and even scorn from radical ‘Antifa’ and anarchists. In response, it will be necessary to use additional tools, and to push the limits of the tools we already have to bring the criminal destruction and violence to an end.”

At one point Mayor Wheeler was actually facing a campaign against another Democrat who wanted to take over his position. That other person was an actual ‘Antifa’ member. It’s pretty sad when the only competition to an already incompetent Mayor is a member of a violent radical group.
Sadly, Portland residents who choose not to move, appear to not have too many choices. We can only hope with time Americans wake up to what’s happening and demand better from their leaders.
