‘The Mayor of NYC Has Lost Control’ Giuliani Calls on de Blasio to Step Down or for Gov Cuomo to Remove Him

In a series of tweets this morning, former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani called out current Mayor Bill de Blasio saying that he has “has lost control of the mob and of the city.”

Giuliani blasted de blasio in the first tweet for “preventing the NYPD to take the actions necessary to stop brutal attacks on police and citizens.” He continued by saying that de Blasio “is even falsely accusing NYPD of taking excessive action when he has made them punching bags.”

Yesterday, de Blasio said reports of police misconduct during the weekend’s riots will be immediately investigated. He said that the “vast majority of officers do their job and do their job well” but, “there are some that use violence when they shouldn’t.” His daughter was arrested over the weekend as well for taking part in the unrest.

Giuliani called for NY Governor Andrew Cuomo to remove him in the second tweet. He referenced his record on riot prevention and said that the current mayor is “preventing the NYPD from taking the actions that have prevented riots in the past.”

Gov. Cuomo should remove Mayor DiBlasio. He is preventing the NYPD from taking the actions that have prevented riots in the past. Surely, you remember the Gigante report which helped me prevent riots under circumstances of long protests with many attempts to turn them violent.

In the most recent tweet, he called for de Blasio to “step down.” He called him “incompetent” and he believes that in addition to the already unfolded carnage, lives will be lost if he continues to be in charge of the city.

Mayor de Blasio needs to step down. He is incompetent. We are losing a tremendous amount of property. We are seeing people damaged and hurt. Pretty soon, we’re going to lose lives if this man doesn’t get out of the way and let someone activate the police department!
