Tim Kaine Says Trump Trying to “Excuse Weeks of Tweeting Lies” by Using “Epithets” China or Wuhan Virus

Failed 2016 Democratic Vice Presidential candidate and Virginia Senator Tim Kaine took to the Senate floor today to slam President Trump for his response to the Coronavirus. He urged the President to “Quit the inflammatory China-bashing” and then admitted that it originated in China.

Quit the inflammatory China-bashing. Did this virus originate in China? Yes. But Mr. President, that does not excuse your weeks and weeks of tweeting lies and misinformation about the virus while the leaders of other nations were taking steps to make sure their populations could be safe. The fact that the virus originated in China does not excuse the massive missteps that led to the US being so far behind others nations in the world in the ability to provide testing, basic testing to it’s citizens including citizens who have serious signs of illness. The President’s decision to call this China virus or Wuhan Virus or other epithets that he and members of his team use are a crass effort to deflect blame, a way from the acceptance of responsibility that a President should do. The buck stops with you Mr. President. You cannot blame this on anyone else.

Conservatives and others on Twitter struck back at the quote that was used in that Tweet from the Hill. Verified Campaign Strategist Caleb Hull Tweeted – America to Tim Kaine: “Quit the inflammatory communist-praising.”

Conservative commentator The Bradford File shot back – Me to Tim Kaine: “Read your oath. It’s not in Mandarin.”

Stefan Molyneux, who hosts a popular philosophy show, brought up Kaine’s Antifa-loving son by saying – Honest title: How Tim Kaine’s Antifa son succumbed to communism.

And managing editor of Human Events, a conservative website, Ian Miles Chong, accused Kaine of “carrying water” for China.
