Days after CNN was exposed by Project Veritas in a series of videos for having an alleged anti-Trump bias, the Trump campaign via their @TrumpWarRoom Twitter handle just made a huge announcement. Attorney Michael Glassner sent a letter to CNN President Jeff Zucker notifying him of an impending lawsuit on behalf of ‘Donald J. Trump for President, Inc’.
“BREAKING: Trump campaign lawyer notifies CNN of intent to file legal action against the network.
“Your actions are in violation of the Lanham Act, among other applicable laws, by constituting misrepresentations to the public, to your advertisers, and others.”

“Your actions are in violation of the Lanham Act, among other applicable laws, by constituting misrepresentations to the public, to your advertisers, and others.” https://t.co/o7R6F8zAQJ
The letter addressed to Mr. Jeffrey Zucker and Mr. David Vigilante states in part: “we write concerning your biased reporting practices relating to our clients. The terms “you” and “your” in this letter shall collectively refer to CNN Broadcasting, Inc., CNN Productions, Inc., CNN Interactive Group, Inc., the website located at CNN.com, and all broadcast television stations owned, operated or affiliated with the foregoing.
Your website expressly represents to the public, in writing, that you are “journalists,” “truth seekers,” “united by a mission to inform, engage and empower the world,” and you “stand for excellence in journalism and [your] products.”
The letter goes in more detail as shown in the above tweet. Many pundits have expressed the idea that it’s ok to be an opinionated commentator, but that those who are should represent themselves as such, for example, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, often compared to by the left as the counter to many in the major media outlets, actually represent themselves as being opinionated commentators.
While CNN represents themselves as ‘truth-seeking’ news reporters, it isn’t hard to see whose side they lean towards, and the latest videos from Project Veritas seek to show proof to what many had already suspected. In the video, Jeff Zucker says he wants to stay close to the impeachment topic on CNN, appearing to push a personal agenda. Nick Neville of CNN is in the video saying “Jeff Zucker has a personal vendetta against President Trump”. Zucker also told employees to ‘knock it off’ referring to being friendly with moderate Republican but Trump supporter Senator Lindsey Graham (R). “If we lean left that’s cool, if we lean right, just let it be known” says CNN whistleblower Cary Poarch in another part of the extremely detailed video.
WATCH SHOCKING VIDEO BELOW:
This is an unfolding story and reactions from pundits and politicians on both sides are likely to follow. This is the latest in a string of action from the Trump administration in what appears to be President Trump and his campaign taking an offensive approach to his dissenters, rather than a defensive one. Recently President Trump also threatened to sue House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) and House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D) for pushing an unfair impeachment inquiry and misrepresenting facts.
Lawsuits are not something new to President Trump, as he was involved in many during his time in the business world. But the lawsuits filed against or by him before he entered the political realm are no even close to being as important to this one and potential others, in the way that they pertain to national policy, news and other major ramifications that could affect American’s every day lives.
