Former President Trump issued a statement tonight giving former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders his “total endorsement” in her bid to be elected governor of Arkansas in 2022.
In the statement by Trump, which came from his political action committee, Save America, he called Sanders “a warrior who will always fight for the people of Arkansas and do what is right, not what is politically correct.”
“Sarah is strong on Borders, tough on crime, and fully supports the Second Amendment and our great law enforcement officers,” Trump continued in the statement.
Trump’s statement concluded by saying that “She loves our military and veterans — and her home state of Arkansas. Sarah will be a GREAT Governor, and she has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Sanders issued a tweet earlier that echoed the words of the former president and said, “We need a leader with the courage to do what’s right – not what’s politically correct or convenient. As governor, I will be your voice, and never let them silence you.”

We had previously reported about a flurry of endorsements that she had received and more have come in since then, including former White House communications director Alyssa Farah.
Farah said that Sanders “Is one of the kindest & most caring people. She’s also a force, who loves her country & the state of Arkansas.”
