This morning, Joe Biden appeared in an interview on ABC’s “This Week” this morning and said that the recently delayed Democratic Convention will have to happen, but conceded that it may need to be held virtually if the Coronavirus continues to pose a public health threat by mid-August.
During the interview, he had trouble completing his thoughts. In one clip, he makes multiple mistakes, even forgetting the year of the last pandemic (Ebola, 2014-2016).
Donald Trump Jr.: Totally nothing wrong with this guy…
Joe Biden: “We cannot let this, we’ve never allowed any crisis from the Civil War straight through to the pandemic of 17, all the way around, 16, we have never, never let our democracy sakes second fiddle, way they, we can both have a democracy and … correct the public health.”

In another clip, while criticizing President Trump and his response to the Coronavirus, he has trouble getting the name of it out, before giving up and just calling it “virus”. It seems like he actually even forgets the exact name.

Well look, what I have been saying is that he’s moving to slow, the co — the virus is not his fault, but the response is his responsibility.
While there is a history of his stutter, he clearly does not appear to have the same coherence that he had when speaking in 2012 at the DNC Convention. If you watch the video, you can see some minor stutters but nothing to the extent of what you see in the interview this morning.
