President Trump became the first sitting president to speak at the annual March for Life rally that took place in Washington DC today. For the last two previous years, he had appeared via a video feed, while Vice President Mike Pence was the headliner last year. Watch his speech below from Fox News:
The speech lasted 13 minutes and President Trump started off by thanking the tens of thousands of young people who made the trip. “Every child is a gift from God”. He then said, “Young people are the heart of the Pro-Life movement. It is your generation that is making America the Pro-Family, Pro-Life Nation.”
He continued on to describe how much he values each life and the steps that he has taken in the office to protect the unborn in the United States and around the world. “I notified Congress that I would veto any legislation that weakens Pro-Life policies or encourages the destruction of human life. At the United Nations, I made clear that global bureaucrats have no business attacking the sovereignty of nations protecting innocent life. Unborn children have never had a stronger defender in the White House.”
He spoke about how behind the scenes he has gotten Pro-Life judges confirmed, including at the Supreme Court level and how they have been working to protect religious liberties on college campuses. There were specific situations mentioned, including Ralph Northam, the Governor of Virginia and his support of infanticide.
The theme of the march was, ‘Pro-Life is Pro-Woman’ and the President made sure to also touch on that theme throughout the speech. “To all the women here today, your devotion and leadership uplifts our entire nation and we thank you for that.”
The climax of the speech appeared to be when President Trump brazenly stated to a huge crowd in reference to the Democrats attacking him and trying to impeach him in Congress, “they are coming after me because I am fighting for you, and we are fighting for those who have no voice, and we will win because we know how to win.” Check out a video from the event in the video tweet below:

During this event, Senators from the Democrat House Impeachment Managers railed against President Trump, trying to make their final case for removal in the Senate as Trump has been “impeached” by the US House. President Trump is continuing on with business as usual though, as can be plainly seen in today’s actions.
