Trump Says Jews Shouldn’t Vote Democrat, Liberals Furious

Today NBC News tweeted a short clip of President Trump’s recent speech where he covered a litany of topics from gun control, to China, to Romania, to Democratic Congresswomen Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.

In his mentions of Tlaib along with Ilhan Omar and the recent debacle where the two Congresswomen were blocked from entering Israel over their support for BDS, he says he doesn’t see how Jews could vote Democrat based on their support for the women.

Instead of making any logical argument as to why they disagree, some of the left-leaning media has taken his comments out of context, as what happens a lot in the news, to imply that his statements should create outrage in the left-wing Jewish community.

NBC News captioned the original video:

NEW: President Trump: “I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat – I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge, or great disloyalty.”

Bari Weiss from The New York Times retweeted it with the caption:

“Here is the president suggesting that Jews are disloyal if they don’t vote Republican. The notion of provisional belonging–that Jews aren’t really American or French or whatever if they don’t do xx–is an idea with a hideous history. N.B. Some 75% of American Jews vote Democrat.”

This comes with the greatest of irony as President Trump has supported Israel more than any recent President, as can be seen with the aid packages and movement of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, among many other things that he has done without obligation but by choice.

The left often uses race and ethnicity in whichever direction they can to be able to use it to their advantage it seems like and this case isn’t much different.
