Today, Senate Majority leader, Chuck Schumer (D-NY), sent a letter to the Chairman of Fox Corporation, Rupert Murdock. In the letter, Schumer calls for those in charge of Fox News to “immediately cease the reckless amplification of the so-called ‘Great Replacement’ theory” rhetoric on the network’s broadcasts.
The letter which can be read in full at the end of the article goes on for two pages. Schumer does mention Fox News’ Host Tucker Carlson by name in the letter itself once, it is also marked, CC: Tucker Carlson.
Monday on the Senate floor, Schumer targeted Tucker Carlson specifically while discussing the tragic shooting that took place this past weekend in Buffalo, New York.
Schumer shared this part of his speech on Twitter captioning it with, “Tucker Carlson has spewed rhetoric that echoes replacement theory at least 400 times on his show since 2016. This is a poison being spread by one of the largest news organizations in America, Fox News. They need to stop spreading dangerous racist lies and conspiracy theories.”

Tucker Carlson invited the Senator to debate the letter he sent to Fox News on his show this evening. Schumer again took to Twitter to let everyone know he declined to debate with Tucker.
“.@TuckerCarlson invited me on his show tonight to debate the letter I sent to @FoxNews. I’m declining. Tucker Carlson needs to stop promoting the racist, dangerous ‘Replacement Theory’.”

Many on the left, are placing at least some of the blame for the Buffalo shooting on Tucker Carlson. But it seems that Schumer and others may be afraid to have an honest discussion about what is going on in America.
If people on opposite sides cannot sit down and have a discussion there will be no middle ground found.
President Joe Biden is now talking about an assault weapons ban as well as declaring, “white supremacy is a poison,” in his recent speech given in Buffalo, NY.
Earlier the DOJ announced that the Buffalo shooting was being investigated as a Hate Crime.
Many on the right view what the left is pushing as trying to push guilt by association for the fact that someone may be of white European descent, in what feels like a move to divide our country even further.
