Tucker Carlson: ‘It Looks Possible that Elon Musk will Seize Control of Twitter and End Censorship, We Could See a Return of Free Speech in the United States’

Last night on “Tucker Carlson Tonight”, Tucker Carlson started out his show lambasting Democrats, blaming them for many of the problems happening in the United States today.

He went on to say that the NYC mass shooter who isn’t caught yet is “not a White Supremacist”, mocking the left-wing narrative and suggesting that that may mean less media coverage despite the horrific situation.

Carlson pivoted, however, from “mayhem and economic decline” and touched on a topic that has left-wingers panicking, especially many who are employed by the company that owns Twitter.com.

“No, we have genuinely good news, and here it is. It looks possible that Elon Musk will seize control of Twitter and end censorship on that platform. Now, why should you care about that, it’s like a tech story, right? Who cares about social media? Here’s why you should care. Because if that were to happen, we could see a return of free speech to the United States, and nothing should give you more hope, than that possibility.”

Carlson continued:

“A free Twitter would mean an open debate about ideas on the single most important incubator of elite opinion in the world. It would mean a return to free and fair elections in the United States. A system in which both sides are allowed to make their case to the public and then the public would decide, it’s called Democracy.”

Carlson went further:

“And above all, a free Twitter would mean a direct challenge to the people in charge of our country’s institutions, many of whom are incompetent. For the first time in years, we will be able to talk honestly about our leaders. We’ll be able to have the kind of conversations that make democracy possible. We can’t have those conversations now, and there’s a reason for it. The point of censorship is never to shield the weak, no matter what Barack Obama may tell you. The point of censorship always and everywhere is to protect entrenched power…”

Carlson continues more in the clip below:

Many left-wing Twitter users who previously said that if right-wingers don’t like the way Twitter allegedly censored users, they should simply start their own website. But now that Musk may take over Twitter, they suggested that things could get terrible.

Perhaps, gasp, Donald Trump may be allowed back on? Democrats’ opinions about private companies have suddenly changed. This doesn’t mean Musk will succeed in what many hope he can do. But the simple concept of it scaring the left so much is telling indeed.

Carlson mentioned how Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, could not even control the censorship. This gives credibility to the theory that perhaps Dorsey was not really in charge and may be working with Musk.

Gab.com has tried to create a censorship-free platform already, and many are flocking to it. However, they are banned from the Google and Apple App stores. Why won’t Google and Apple just ban Twitter too, if Musk allows free speech?

No one knows for sure that they won’t. The idea, however, is that Twitter is already such a major website, it would mean a lot more blowback for Google and Apple if they blocked that website, than when they blocked startup websites. This is just speculation of course, and we don’t know how things will play out in the end.

Twitter’s CEO, who doesn’t support free speech on Twitter, Parag Agrawal, is hinting that employees should brace for a hostile takeover by Musk. Meanwhile, as highlighted in the Tucker Carlson clip above, Dems have begun flirting with the idea of implying Musk is racist. That seems to be their go-to strategy anytime someone remotely to the right of Joe Biden does something they don’t like.

Carlson also mentioned that Twitter execs are working on a possible “poison pill” strategy to keep Musk from taking over. Things will certainly get interesting as we see what happens going forward with Musk, Twitter, and possible other social media sites that we presume are certainly watching as these events unfold.

Stay tuned for possible updates.
