Two-Time Masters Winner Bubba Watson Jumps Ship From PGA Tour to Join Trump-Endorsed LIV Golf Series

Two-time Masters winner Bubba Watson has reportedly become the latest PGA Tour superstar to jump ship and join the Trump-endorsed LIV Golf Series.

According to reports, Watson will make his debut at the league’s Labor Day Weekend event outside Boston.

Watson, however, has been out since May with a torn meniscus and while he will reportedly captain one of the teams during the tournament, he is not expected to play because of the injury.

After turning pro, Watson toured from 2001 to 2005 with the Developmental Nationwide Tour, and in 2006, as a PGA rookie, Watson led in the driving distance, averaging around 319.6 yards per drive.

Watson has 12 career PGA Tour wins, including the two wins at the Masters in 2012 and 2014, and has reportedly earned over $40 million over his career thus far.

It is reported that Watson will likely earn about that total to make the move from the PGA Tour and he mentioned “charity dollars” in a recent interview.

Former President Trump participated today in the LIV Golf pro-am event at his Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. ahead of this league’s third tournament of the season this weekend.

Breaking911 shared a clip of an interview that was conducted with Trump and aired on ESPN’s “Sportscenter.”

Fmr. President Trump, hosting Saudi-backed LIV golf league, asked about 9/11 families protesting the event:

“Well, nobody’s gotten to the bottom of 9/11, unfortunately, and they should have, as to the maniacs that did that horrible thing…”

Trump also referenced money going to charity and that “many of the best players in the world” were competing in this weekend’s event.

“Pretty soon, they’ll probably have all of them [the best players in the world],” Trump insisted.
