Ukraine Judge Orders Biden To Be Listed as Alleged Criminal Perpetrator in Prosecutor’s 2016 Firing

Presumptive Democrat nominee Joe Biden could be in some hot water in Ukraine as he has been listed as an alleged perpetrator in regards to the firing of Ukraine’s prosecutor Victor Shokin in 2016.

According to Just the News, in Kiev late last month, District Court Judge S. V. Vovk ordered the country’s law enforcement services to formally list the fired prosecutor, Shokin, as the victim of an alleged crime by Biden.

Shokin claimed that he was fired in spring 2016 under pressure from Biden because he was investigating Burisma Holdings, the natural gas company where Biden’s son Hunter worked and the court in February ordered the Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Bureau of Investigations to investigate the claim.

It then ruled then that there was adequate evidence to investigate Shokin’s claim that Biden’s pressure on then-President Petro Poroshenko, including a threat to withhold $1 billion in U.S. loan guarantees, amounted to unlawful interference in Shokin’s work as Ukraine’s chief prosecutor.

The Associated Press claims that leaked recordings don’t appear to contain anything that would incriminate Biden or his son and were seen by some observers as a political effort to help President Donald Trump’s reelection bid.

When law enforcement agencies opened the probe they refused to name the former Vice President as the alleged perpetrator of the crime, instead listing the potential defendant as an unnamed American.

The judge ruled that anonymous listing was improper and ordered the law enforcement agencies to formally name Biden as the accused perpetrator.

Separately, an investigation was opened on treason and abuse of office charges, which the AP believes is mostly directed against former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. Poroshenko has rejected the tapes as a fabrication by pro-Russian forces in Ukraine.

In a Facebook statement, Poroshenko said the tapes were fabricated and described their release as part of a Kremlin-driven effort to “undermine bipartisan support of Ukraine in the United States” and called Biden a “friend and ally of Ukraine.”
