Today President Trump visited Historic Williamsburg Virginia to commemorate Jamestown’s 400th anniversary with a visit and a speech. This event comes on the heels of much controversy over ‘The Squad’ and a tweetstorm between Trump and Elijah Cummings. Many Virginia Democrats boycotted the event and others planned on causing trouble.

It comes as no surprise that despite all the security checkpoints and safety measures, one or two naysayers or hecklers made it into the overbooked event. President Trump knew to expect some difficulties with this trip so this likely did not catch him off guard very much, although he rarely is caught off guard by these types of instances.

SEE TWEET FROM @realDonaldTrump POSTED EARLIER THIS MORNING:

The heckler, or protester, yelled out from the crowd twice, “Mr. President you can’t send us back, Virginia is our home!”

One might speculate that the person yelling was perhaps an undocumented immigrant or someone standing in solidarity with ‘The Squad’ after Trump’s remarks about how people who don’t like America can leave.

According to signs held up as the protester moved towards the stage that said, “go back to your corrupted home”, “reunite my family” and “deport hate,” he was likely protesting the enforcement of immigration laws.

President Trump, in a very presidential manner, although clearly unhappy with the protester, waited for the police to calmy escort him from the premises, thanked the police, and calmly carried on with his speech relatively unfazed.

He wrapped up the speech with some very powerful words in his final message:

“Now we must go bravely into the future, just as those bold explorers first ventured into this majestic land, we must call upon the same scale of imagination, the same thirst for knowledge, the same love of adventure, the same unrelenting courage, and the same total determination to prevail. Above all, we must be proud of our heritage, united in our purpose, and filled with confidence in our shared, great great great American destiny.

For in America no challenge is too great, no journey is too tough, no task is too large, no dream is beyond our reach. When we set our sight on a summit, nothing can stand in our way. America always gets the job done, America always wins.

That is why, after 400 years of glorious American democracy, we have returned here to this place to declare to all the world that the United State of America and the great Commonwealth of Virginia, are just getting started. Our future is bigger, bolder, better, and brighter than ever before. It’s been a great honor for me to be with you this morning. I’d like to thank you, God bless you, God bless Virginia, and God bless America. Thank you very much, everybody.”
