VIDEO: Shooting at Boise, Idaho Mall Reported, Possibly Six Injured as Reports Continue to Roll in

Update, 4:35 MT: at least two people are dead:

Today the Boise Police Department responded to the Boise Town Square Mall on Milwaukee St. This is the capital city and largest city in the state of Idaho.

A reporter for CBS News 2 local tweeted and then later delete this tweet below. We feel it’s still newsworthy and think that she may have later taken it down because she didn’t feel comfortable having it up for some reason, but it’s hard to say for sure.

The reporter, Mickaela Elich says she is waiting outside a local hospital to see what happens after Boise PD reported six people injured from a shooting. There is a video below this where gunshots can be heard.

Local CBS 2 reporter Trevor Fay tweeted commentary and photos:

“More people gathered out front of the Macy’s as police try to contain the situation. They’re asking anyone who has not been asked to stay by law-enforcement to clear the area.”

“First responders are still coming in and out of the Macy’s at the Boise Towne Square. The scene is still active. Searching for confirmation now about possible active shooter and multiple injuries.”

Mickaela Elich, from earlier in the story also tweeted:

“First responders are still coming in and out of the Macy’s at the Boise Towne Square. The scene is still active. Searching for confirmation now about possible active shooter and multiple injuries.”

This is a developing story that is sure to have more details about what happened as time passes, including if anyone dies or the injury count changes, and who may have been responsible for the shooting. Idaho is a Republican majority, gun-friendly state.

Idaho Republican candidate for Governor Ed Humphreys stated:

“I can’t even imagine what those people are going through who are there and who were victimized. Praying for our law enforcement, first responders, and all the concerned families. Heartbreaking.“

We hope no one dies and we also hope that the news outlets can stay classy and keep politics out of this situation, especially until all the details unravel.
