As we reported earlier, White House press secretary Jen Psaki returned to her job today after a bout with COVID-19 and held a press briefing.
At another point in the press conference, Psaki was asked by a reporter, “Is there anything that he could be doing at 79-years-old, how does he keep fit? Does he exercise, we’ve seen him cycling, does he do anything else?”
Psaki gave a response that appeared to be somewhat of a joke but almost no one could be heard laughing, although she cracked a smile when she said it.
“He certainly does enjoy a good ride on his bike and does keep fit, eats healthy, except for the occasional ice cream, who among us doesn’t love ice cream,” Psaki quipped.
Psaki added, “Again, as someone asked earlier, the president will be receiving a physical at some point soon and we will release those details to you… as soon as that happens.”

Last year, when on the campaign trail, many conservatives were frustrated about softball questions from the press about Biden’s ice cream during a stop in Ohio.
At the time, Ari Fleischer told Harris Faulkner, “I’m just shaking my head. I’m so used to the press dishing it out and being tough on presidents because that’s what they do when there is a Republican president, and then you see this?”
“I get there are sometimes occasional light-hearted moments between the White House press corps and the president, but this is becoming a habit between the press and Joe Biden. It’s embarrassing,” Fleischer lamented.
Prior to that, in a scene reminiscent of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s ice cream flub, Biden ate ice cream in an interview with left-wing late-night talk show host Stephen Colbert.
In May, Biden condemned GOP opposition to establishing a Jan. 6 commission while eating an ice cream cone before leaving Cleveland, Ohio.
"I can't imagine anyone voting against the establishment of the commission."
