Marcy Kaptur (D) has represented Ohio’s 9th district in Congress since 1983. This year with redistricting. as well as major pushback on the Democrat’s radical agenda, Ohio’s 9th district could go to the GOP candidate in this midterm election.
As Kaptur unsuccessfully tries to separate herself from Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi has been called in to fundraise for the longest-serving woman in the House.
On Wednesday Nancy Pelosi held a fundraiser for Kaptur and two other “battleground candidates”. The ticketed reception had contribution levels from $250 to $3,700. The location of the reception was only given upon RSVP to the event.
Pelosi and Kaptur have served together in the house since Pelosi started in 1987, four years after Kaptur started her reign. As of September Pelosi’s favorability is close to President Biden’s. According to Statista, 43% of adults find Pelosi Very unfavorable.
With the strategy of trying to separate herself from the Biden agenda, there would be no way she could have him come stump for her without major backlash. We still have her voting record and she aligns 100% with the President, a fact she can’t hide.
Kaptur has previously said of Biden that he would go down in history as “a great president.”
NRCC Spokeswoman Courtney Parella has said of Kaptur, “Ohio voters will see career politician Marcy Kaptur for who she is: a partisan puppet who supports Joe Biden 100% of the time in Washington.“
Polling shows JR Majewski (R) is gaining traction in the race and the small gap between the two appears to be closing.
Kaptur’s values seem to follow the Democrat party no matter where it goes. She has seemingly “evolved” to take on whatever talking points the Democrat party is peddling at the time.
An ad run by the Majewski for Congress highlights Kaptur’s disconnect from the closing businesses in her district and her promise to create jobs.
Drain the DC Swamp PAC shared an ad they made on Facebook about Kaptur. The ad shows Kaptur has voted for defunding police and even sponsored a bill that took away police protections when arresting violent criminals. Like many Democrats, Kaptur pushed the anti-police rhetoric.
Kaptur is in her 19th term and November 8th will show us if it is her last.
