‘You are the System’ Kayleigh McEnany Refutes Attempt by NY Gov Kathy Hochul to Blame ‘The System’ For Buffalo Mother’s Death After Killer Previously Released on No-Cash Bail

Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany today refuted an attempt by New York Dem Gov. Kathy Hochul to blame “the system” for a Buffalo mother’s death after her killer was previously released on a no-cash bail.

As the New York Post reported, Hochul insisted yesterday that everyone else failed Buffalo’s tragic mom-of-three Keaira Bennefield.

When asked by The Post to respond to the victim’s distraught mom, who blamed her for the murder, Hochul claimed, “The system absolutely failed her.”

“The system has to work. Orders of protection have to be granted, transition homes have to be available and we have to make sure that judges and prosecutors charge appropriately,” Hochul added.

However, The Post noted that an order of protection was issued the same day 45-year-old Adam Bennefield walked free from custody on Oct. 4 after the caught-on-camera beatdown.

Because he’d only been charged with misdemeanors over the beating of his estranged wife and couldn’t be held on bail under New York’s reforms, Adam was able to then murder Keaira the following day.

McEnany shared a clip of her discussing the situation on “Outnumbered” and reported in a tweet, “A mother was shot dead by her ex in front of her children.

“He brutally beat her days earlier. It was on video. And yet he was RELEASED. He killed the mother of his children 24 hours later and Kathy Hochul blamed ‘the system.’ Kathy IS the system! This is TRAGIC!” McEnany emphasized.

Hochul’s GOP opponent Lee Zeldin reacted to the report by saying that Hochul “has blood on her hands.”

“Keaira’s three kids will now be growing up without a mother, because of Kathy Hochul’s soft on crime, feckless leadership. She refuses to support judges having discretion to weigh dangerousness,” Zeldin insisted.
