U.S. House Representative for the 5th congressional district in Virginia Denver Riggleman may have to do some explaining. You see, Denver has been challenged by another Republican in the primary, which has been set for a convention vote.
Despite the fact that Riggleman himself won his seat by winning a committee vote convention in the last election, his campaign has tried to sue to change to a regular primary where anyone can vote, instead of a smaller amount of political activists. He believes this should change because of risks to people getting infected with COVID-19, and claims it has nothing to do with the fact that his more conservative Republican opponent appears to have more “delegates” who plan to support him in the convention.
There has been much fighting, mudslinging, and name-calling on both sides of the debate. The 5th congressional in Virginia is a more conservative district, and when Denver Riggleman decided to politicize his officiating of a same-sex wedding, between two men believed to be former assistants to his campaign, (among other things some Republicans don’t like about Denver) many activists in the community had had enough.
This is around the time a primary opponent by the name of Bob Good began his campaign to be the person to run against the Democrat in the general election. Recently Congressman Riggleman has been posting various things on social media to try and hit back against things that Good supporters and others have put out that haven’t painted him in a great light, including a piece by National File that purports to have audio of Riggleman joking about “horse fisting” on a radio show. This was done in a way that would make most people cringe, let alone Republicans. Read here where world-famous journalist Patrick Howley exposes the odd situation titled: AUDIO: Congressman Talks About Sex With Horses In Expletive-Laden Conversation.
One of the posts to hit back and try to discredit his opponent, an immigration hardliner named Bob Good who is social conservative was a video. That video, Riggleman claims, was put out by “Tucker Carlson’s” Daily Caller, which is supposed to discredit Bob Good. It alleges that Good’s “voter intimidation tactics” are exposed in said video. The video, which does appear to have existed at one point, and may again exist at some other point in the future, doesn’t appear to exist at this current time. You can see the video preview in the post below, but if you click on it, it takes you to an error page as highlighted in the article’s cover photo.
Media Right News has reached out to the Daily Caller News Foundation for comment about whether or not they removed the video on purpose, and if it’s common for videos published by the Daily Caller to commonly just disappear. As of now, the Daily Caller has not responded to our request. So it appears as though perhaps “Tucker Carlson” himself, maybe didn’t want to be dragged into this whole mess at all, but it’s hard to know for sure.
It’s likely the hit piece video was originally put out without Carlson, believed to be a founder of the DCNF, even knowing about it or even knowing who Bob Good or Denver Riggleman actually were politically, but that again is only mere speculation. Will Riggleman address the video’s disappearance, assuming it doesn’t reappear, considering he went on the John Fredericks show, “The Godzilla of Truth”, to brag about it for over 20 minutes? See video below, where John Fredericks, former Trump Campaign Chair in Virginia who previously bragged about voting for Democrat Ralph Northam hosts Riggleman:
The way Riggleman (or Good or possibly the DCNF) responds to this remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, the GOPers in the 5th CD of Virginia are ready and eager to put this race behind them so they can get back to the business of the issues at hand.
