Former President Donald Trump pledged on Saturday that he will “never ride a bicycle” after Joe Biden took a spill on one that same day.
In a clip that was shared today by The Hill, Trump said, “I hope (Biden) has recovered, because as you know, he fell off his bicycle.”
“No, I’m serious. I hope he’s okay. Fell off a bicycle. I make this pledge to you today – I will never, ever ride a bicycle,” Trump declared.
Trump delivered the remarks at the American Freedom Tour in Southaven, Mississippi, a “celebration of faith, family, unalienable rights and God-given American freedoms,” according to the group’s website.

Biden attempted to explain what happened today to reporters while on the beach near his vacation home in Delaware.
“I’m feeling great. What happened was, any of you guys ride bikes? Well, some of them have this thing that you put your toe in.”
“I was getting off the bike, it got stuck on the right side. I fell, in case you didn’t notice.”

According to the Associated Press, Joe and Jill Biden were wrapping up a morning ride when he decided to pedal over to a crowd of well-wishers standing by the bike trail.
Joe Biden, they noted was wearing a helmet, and fell when he tried to dismount, apparently falling on his right side and rolling onto his back before being helped up.
He was able to gather himself and spent several minutes chatting with people who had gathered to watch him bike.
