Elon Musk became the largest stakeholder of Twitter, with the purchase of 73.5 million shares over about 10 days in March.
On March 25th, Elon Musk shared a poll asking, “Free speech is essential to a functioning democracy. Do you believe Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle?”. With over 2 million votes a little over 70% cast their vote for No, while a little less than 30% selected Yes.

Do you believe Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle?
Former top Trump economic advisor to 45th President Donald Trump, Larry Kudlow weighed in on Musk’s new acquisition of Twitter stock. “So, Elon Musk to the rescue, part three.” Kudlow opened his segment on Musk. He continued to highlight the resistance Musk has put up against bad ideas.
Part one, Kudlow explains how Musk slammed “Build Back Better” saying, “I would just can this whole bill… It might be better if the bill doesn’t pass because we’ve spent so much money, you know, it’s like the federal budget deficit is insane.”
Last month, part two of Elon to the rescue took place. Kudlow points to Musk’s call for an increase in oil and gas output in the United States according to Kudlow.
Kudlow then states, “Part three, Elon to the free speech rescue, by staking out a 9% investment in Twitter.” Kudlow points out that Musk is now the largest stakeholder of Twitter stock. “Theoretically means, he could kick Twitter’s free speech suppressing left-wing butt,” Kudlow proclaims. The full segment can be seen at the end of this article.
After his poll concluded, Musk asked another question, “given that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy. What should be done?”

The public found out Monday that Musk had taken the steps to become the largest stakeholder. On Tuesday Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal announced that Elon was appointed to Twitter’s board. Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey applauded the move tweeting, “I’m really happy Elon is joining the Twitter board! He cares deeply about our world and Twitter’s role in it. Parag and Elon both lead with their hearts, and they will be an incredible team.”

Many are calling for Musk to reinstate Donald Trump’s Twitter account as well as many others accounts that have been banned over the past couple of years. We will soon see what effects Musk’s stock position in Twitter will have on the liberty limiting platform.
