Hillary Clinton Says Nov. Election is an ‘Opportunity to Choose Democracy over Creeping Authoritarianism’

Hillary Clinton tweeted out today a condemnation of Trump’s presidency and urged people to vote for Joe Biden in the upcoming November election.

She said that “eight weeks from today we have the opportunity to choose democracy over creeping authoritarianism. Dignity and respect over corruption and lawlessness. Building back better over continued chaos. A plan over a pandemic. Unity over division.”

She summed it up by saying, “Joe Biden over President Trump.”

Trump supporters were quick to respond to her tweet, however, as former Connecticut candidate for State Senator JT Lewis replied, “Never forget that America chose Trump OVER Clinton.”

Christian conservative Twitter user “Fuzzy Chimp” used her words against her, saying, “Democracy is why you’re not president.”

Twitter user and “meme maker” @QTAnon1 said snarkily that her words had the opposite effect. “Well said! I couldn’t say I better You have convinced me to vote for Trump! Thank you Hillary,” he deadpanned.

Clinton spoke at the DNC last month and said that, “I wish Donald Trump had been a better president. Because America needs a better president than this.”

An excerpt was released prior with what she was going to say that night and as anticipated, she claimed that for the last four years, people have told her they “didn’t realize how dangerous” President Trump was.

She also believes this election “can’t be another woulda coulda shoulda election” and that voters have told her they didn’t take the 2016 election as seriously as they should have, but want to make it right this time.
