The second-ranking House Republican Steve Scalise (LA) stepped up with a tweet today promising to “Hold Big Tech Accountable” for “Going after elected Republican officials.”
Scalise’s tweet didn’t reference U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) by name but comes one day after she was banned by that platform and on the same day she was given a 24-hour suspension by Facebook.
“If Twitter actually cared about ‘misinformation’ they would’ve banned the Chinese Communist Party. Or the Taliban. Or the Ayatollah. Or Dems pushing the Russia collusion hoax,” Scalise declared.
Scalise then pointed out, “But instead they choose to go after elected Republican officials. We will hold Big Tech accountable.”

Or the Taliban.
Or the Ayatollah.
Or Dems pushing the Russia collusion hoax.
But instead they choose to go after elected Republican officials.
We will hold Big Tech accountable.
Thus far, however, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has yet to make any statements, which has drawn the ire of The Columbia Bugle.
After McCarthy tweeted about a letter that he sent to House GOP members that didn’t include any mention of Big Tech censorship, the media outlet replied, “Why are you silent about Big Tech censoring Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene?”

Previously, we reported:
U.S. House Rep Lauren Boebert (R-CO) issued a warning today to Twitter on its platform after U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) because the latest elected Republican official to be banned.
Boebert declared, “Twitter permanently suspended a sitting US President. They’ve now permanently suspended a sitting member of US Congress.”
“Of course, both from the same party,” Boebert noted and vowed, “They forget that in 2022 we are taking back the House and we WILL be holding them accountable!”
Boebert wasn’t finished, however, as she followed that tweet up by suggesting, “Twitter should change (its) name to Pfizer.”
“The good guys are never the ones silencing the truth,” Boebert asserted in a final salvo towards the tech giant.
