22 Legislators and 8 Legislators-Elect in AZ Call on Congress to Accept Alternative Elector Slate for Trump at Least Until ‘Investigations Completed’

Today Arizona State-Senator Elect Kelly Townsend announced that 22 Arizona Legislators and 8 Legislators-Elect signed a joint resolution calling on Congress to accept the alternative slate of electors and abstain from accepting the Biden electoral votes until investigations are completed.

Last week, the Daily Beast wondered, dramatically, if Arizona State Senator-elect Kelly Townsend threatened to kill Gov. Doug Ducey over the election after she responded to a tweet he made with a picture representative of a biblical story.

Clearly, the left-wing outlet was out to make Townsend look bad and it appears she is a rising star and a go-getter. That being the case it makes sense that the left might be out to get her.

Townsend tweeted the major announcement here:

“FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Today, 22 Legislators and 8 Legislators-Elect sign joint resolution calling on Congress to accept the alternative slate of electors and abstain from accepting the Biden electoral votes until investigations are completed. Members-elect concurring. 2/2” See tweet:

Fellow State Senator-elect Wendy Rogers retweeted Townsend’s tweet and said “Glad to have signed this important document!”

Earlier we reported that Republican electors chose to vote for Donald Trump in Arizona, although it’s unlikely to affect the ultimate outcome of Joe Biden’s reported win.

It has been reported that the Electoral College voted today to cement Joe Biden’s victory over President Donald Trump in this year’s presidential election.

Biden is expected to address the nation tonight, where and according to speech excerpts released by the transition, he will emphasize that “the integrity of our elections remains intact.”

Biden is expected to echo words that he has used in the past, insisting, “And so, now it is time to turn the page. To unite. To heal.”

It is clear though, that many are not ready to move on yet from November’s election and this is yet another example of resistance to that claim.
