Virginia Cook Out Fires Two After Officers Ignored, Anti-Trump ‘Employee’ Contradicts Official Statement

It was reported tonight that two employees were fired from a Cook Out fast food restaurant located in Rocky Mount, Virginia after an incident that we first reported on involving two law enforcement officers.

A statement given by the company to a local news station, News 10, said the officers asked the cashier if a manager was available, but the cashier didn’t go get the manager and the manager did not make himself available to speak to the officers.

According to News 10, Company leaders said they fired both employees because their actions “do not reflect the principles by which our company operates and is in direct conflict with our policy” and that during a busy period over this holiday weekend, the restaurant was understaffed and many customers experienced long wait times.

Tori Lynn, who says on her profile is an employee at Cook Out, went on the original viral Facebook post to dispel the claims and contradict the official statement.

Lynn also has a cover photo that is common among those who are anti-Trump. She claims that the post was “FALSE.” She said that the person who was at the speaker “asked several times ‘welcome to cookout may i take your order please’ & the officer never replied.”

She said that he “drove off.” She also claimed that the officer started “cussing him out” and that the “employee apologized.” She then said that the officer cursed at the employee again while driving off.

Supporters of the fired employees have been encouraged to use the #pd115support and under that, we found one post that had “do you hear us?” over top of a screenshot of Lynn’s posts.

Those same words were used during a BLM rally in the town of Rocky Mount recently so it is curious as to why that would be used, when BLM has denied involvement in the situation.

We reached out to the Cook Out in Rocky Mount and manager “David” said that he could not confirm if Lynn was an employee but that they do not discriminate against any customers “regardless of occupation.”
