House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-CA) has become the latest high-profile Democrat to join the mounting calls for the resignation of New York’s Democratic Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has seen sexual harassment allegations coming to light against him nearly daily now.
“I think he should resign,” Schiff told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer today, adding, “I don’t think he can carry on.”

Biden hasn't called on him to resign yet, nor has Pelosi
President Biden hasn’t called on Cuomo to resign yet, nor has House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), but both of New York’s Democratic senators including Majority Leader Chuck Schumer now have.
In a joint statement, NY Senators Kristen Gillibrand and Schumer said, “”We commend the brave actions of the individuals who have come forward with serious allegations of abuse and misconduct. Due to the multiple, credible sexual harassment and misconduct allegations, it is clear that Governor Cuomo has lost the confidence of his governing partners and the people of New York. Governor Cuomo should resign.”
Cuomo said recently that he wouldn’t bow to “cancel culture” and that he is “not part of the political club.”
New York Times’ Maggie Haberman noted that Cuomo is the son of a former governor “for whom the field was cleared to run for AG in 2006.”
Haberman also noted that one of Cuomo’s “earliest jobs was as (former president Bill) Clinton’s HUD secretary” and that he “was married to a Kennedy.”

All of those facts certainly undermine Cuomo’s attempt to paint himself as the victim here of a political hack job on someone who is not part of a club of elites.
