The Washington Times reported that U.S. House Reps Paul Gosar and Mo Brooks are off the hook. What this means is that an ethics committee dropped an investigation into their alleged involvement in the January 6th capitol riots. It was reported in part:
Rep. Pramila Jayapal, Washington Democrat, is now 0-for-3 in her ethics complaints against the House Republicans whom she accused of instigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Republican Reps. Mo Brooks of Alabama and Paul Gosar of Arizona said Tuesday that the House ethics committee had dropped the Democrat’s claims against them, a day after Rep. Lauren Boebert, Colorado Republican, announced that she too had been cleared.
Paul Gosar, the unapologetic U.S. House Rep from Arizona who is a part of the America First group of political activists is not one to by shy about his thoughts on Twitter. Recently he made a post regarding the news, trolling Rep Jayapal, now that things have not gone her way according to reports. He posted an image of himself in striped socks, kicking back with what appears to be a hot cup of coffee, and a Cheshire cat grin on his face.
He captioned the photo:
“How I sleep at night knowing I live rent and guilt free in Jayapal’s head.”

It will be interesting to see what comes from all the investigating at the end of the day. Many are calling for January 6th rioters to be let out of jail, or solitary confinement. Some have said that they are political prisoners. We don’t condone illegal behavior, but if true, we also don’t condone the U.S. Government taking political prisoners either.
Gosar has historically stuck his neck out for more controversial right-wing figures and thus far has come out relatively unscathed, although he does have his detractors. Gosar is a shining example that good-faith actors in right-wing politics should not apologize when the woke mob comes for you, such as U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (GA) did recently. Her apology didn’t do much but rather got her mocked on The View as we reported yesterday.
Jayapal doesn’t appear to have responded to Gosar on Twitter as of it.
