On Wednesday, President Biden claimed his son “lost his life in Iraq” referring to his son Beau who died from brain cancer in 2015. At the time he was the Attorney General of Deleware.
Beau did serve in Iraq however he came home alive from his service and later passed away from cancer. President Biden has placed blame for Beau’s cancer on burn pits that he was around when serving his country in the Middle East.
In a 2019 speech, Biden said because, “of exposure to burn pits, in my view — I can’t prove it yet — he came back with stage four glioblastoma. Eighteen months he lived, knowing he was going to die.”
During his speech in Colorado Biden said, “I say this as a father of a man who won the Bronze Star, the Conspicuous Service Medal, and lost his life in Iraq.”
Biden was making the speech after designating Camp Hale as a national monument.
Below is the video of the president’s speech, where he makes the claim that his son Beau “lost his life in Iraq”.

The video has been viewed over 600,000 times, as it appears to many as a very glaring mistake.
Some are claiming that the president’s inference was related to burn pits, which he faults for the death of his eldest son.
With many other gaffes in his history, it seems to many that it was just another one to many.
