U.S. House Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) called out the hypocrisy in a statement U.S. House Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) made on MSNBC this past weekend.
Boebert tweeted:
“Maxine Waters says that we have House Republicans who are domestic terrorists. Interesting, as I don’t remember anyone in the House who has called for more violence than Maxine Waters.”
While on “AYMAN” Waters was asked about police reform on a federal level. Waters called went on a rant about what she called the “Marjorie Taylor Green Republican Caucus” and that she doesn’t “expect anything from them”. She continued on to say some House Republicans are “domestic terrorists”.
“It’s the Marjorie Taylor Greene Republican Caucus. And so I don’t expect anything from them,”@RepMaxineWaters says on why she’s not optimistic about police reform on a federal level.”

Waters has previously called on protesters to get “more confrontational” amid protests that had already turned violent.
“We’ve got to stay in the street and demand justice,” Waters also said while awaiting the verdict in the case against former officer Derek Chauvin. The verdict came in the way that Waters wanted but her rhetoric was very divisive.
Waters tried to say her comments were meant in a nonviolent way and that she only wanted change in the justice system. That is not the way they came off to the public. She even tried to excuse what she said by telling CNN, “the whole civil rights movement is confrontation.”
Waters seems to get away with saying anything she wants and just complaining she was misunderstood if she is called out on her violent rhetoric.
