Actor Charlie Sheen yesterday was thrilled when Twitter owner Elon Musk restored his blue checkmark, telling him, “Rock star move, good sir.”
The move from Musk comes after Sheen begged him to restore the checkmark, but only after first mocking him over the SpaceX test rocket explosion.
Sheen shared a screenshot of his profile which showed that the blue checkmark had been restored in a tweet.
“Oh my! It’s like Xmas and my birthday all at once! @elonmusk I’m flushed with gratitude. Rock Star move, good sir,” Sheen gushed.
In response, Musk told Sheen, “You’re welcome!”

Former GOP Senate candidate Tim Swain, however, expressed his disapproval of the move as he told Musk, “NGL, it’s really kinda cringe to pay for these for rich people.”
Many agreed with Swain although he did receive some pushback as conservative commentator Mike Cernovich replied, “It creates engagement on the site and is funny. Do you understand how social media is supposed to work?”
Swain shot back, “I don’t think it’s funny. Rewarding people complaining isn’t funny in the least.”

As we reported yesterday, Musk had told Sheen in response to his plea for his blue checkmark back, “I feel your pain.”
