Geraldo Appears to Take Sarcastic ‘Compliment’ from Gutfeld Seriously with Thanks After Greg Responded to Tucker Carlson Insult

If you have ever seen ‘The Five’ on Fox News, you have likely seen the fireworks that erupt between Greg Gutfeld and Geraldo Rivera. Many times neither one can hold back their contempt for the other.

Rivera couldn’t keep his mouth shut about Fox News cutting ties with Tucker Carlson. He tweeted:

“I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt-as I said at the time-Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was “bullshit.” Having lost the election President Trump incited an insurrection that sought to undermine our Constitutional process.”

Gutfeld sarcastically replied, “You’re a class act Geraldo. A real man of the people.”

Rivera replied in kind, “Thank you @GregGutfeld for your kind remarks” seeming to take Gutfeld’s words as a compliment.

The pair had it out over an Ohio heartbeat bill that became law in May of 2022. Geraldo couldn’t hold back after Gutfeld countered his point on abortion. Geraldo blurted out, “You arrogant,” stopping himself. Gutfeld replied, “Go for it Geraldo, keep going.”

“You know something you insulting punk,” Geraldo said clearly flustered. Gutfeld just laughed at him in responded “Oh what, am I your new Bongino?”

This contempt between the two seems to be nothing new, as in September of 2021 the pair lost it on each other when Geraldo misinterpreted a comment made by Gutfeld.

“I have to rebut what Greg said about Haitian immigrants and crime,” Geraldo said. “I defy you to find a single…” And that’s when things hit the fan.

“Oh my god. You are so wrong, Geraldo”, Gutfeld said.

“What does crime have to do with these people? You know what their crime is?” Rivera said.

“Jesus Christ, you are totally misreading this!”Gutfeld interjected. “I was talking about how the media covers the story!”

“You screwed up. It’s embarrassing, Geraldo. You’re embarrassing me,” Gutfeld shouted when Rivera tried to continue.

“Well, be embarrassed,” Rivera replied.

“No, because you’re wrong!” Gutfeld said. The pair argued back and forth for a few seconds before Gutfeld shouted “No, no, no, no. Let me respond to your lie to your face! I was talking about how the media ignored a story about the crime issue! It wasn’t about Haiti! Jesus! Apologize!”

Gutfeld seems to be able to get under Rivera’s skin without even trying. Instead of having a level debate Riviera has continued to lose his cool and starts to hurl insults.

Many may wonder if Rivera’s feuds with various people are for show, as he used to argue with former Fox News contributor Dan Bongino all the time. It seems more and more lately that Geraldo is just going to be who he is and Fox News is like a runaway train without a conductor.
