Actor Samuel L Jackson Asks How ‘Uncle’ Clarence Thomas Would Feel About Overturning Interracial Marriage Decision

Actor Samuel L Jackson, who has been outspoken in the past against former President Donald Trump and his supporters, took aim at Justice Clarence Thomas in a tweet after Roe vs. Wade was overturned.

Jackson’s tweet had a very racially motivated tone as he asked, “How’s Uncle Clarence feeling about Overturning Loving v Virginia??!!”

“Uncle Clarence” is likely a derogatory reference to the literary character “Uncle Tom,” a slave character often associated with submission to a White ruling class and a slur often used by liberals towards black people who don’t share their political beliefs.

Loving v. Virginia was the civil rights case that deemed interracial marriage bans unconstitutional and Thomas is in an interracial marriage with Ginni Thomas.

Left-wing “journalist” Brian Tyler Cohen, who is white, also chose to reference interracial marriage in a tweet that he made yesterday following the ruling.

“Clarence Thomas just said the court should now go after gay marriage, birth control, and the basic right to privacy. Notably absent: interracial marriage,” Cohen pointed out.

After Jackson made his tweet, Cohen “reported” on his tweet, “NEW: Samuel L. Jackson just called out Clarence Thomas’ hypocrisy for calling to overturn same-sex marriage and contraception but not interracial marriage, which was decided on the same grounds: ‘How’s Uncle Clarence feeling about Overturning Loving v Virginia??!!'”

Members of the Congressional Black Caucus sent a racially charged letter yesterday to Joe Biden as well, urging him to declare a national emergency after the Supreme Court voted to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

“These unprecedented and calculated attacks on our bodily autonomy are a direct affront to the lives and freedom of black women,” the caucus claimed in a letter.

U.S. House Rep Val Demings (D-FL), who is a member of the caucus and running for Senate against Marco Rubio, tweeted a picture of herself in front of the Supreme Court.

“We refuse to go back to being treated as second class citizens or as property,” Demings insisted in the tweet.
