‘You Don’t Understand How Sisters Move’ Joy Reid Lashes Out at ‘Far-Right’ Critics Following Tiffany Cross’ Abrupt MSNBC Exit

MSNBC’s Joy Reid lashed out at “far-right” critics last night after it was announced that Tiffany Cross was fired from the network.

Just prior to the end of her primetime show that airs nightly during the week, Reid said, “Before I go, I really do just want to say one quick thing about my friend, colleague, and sister Tiffany Cross.”

“She’s not just my friend, she’s my sister. I love her, I support her, I was boosting for her to get the show that she created, ‘The Cross Connection,’ which she put her heart and soul into every day,” Reid explained.

Reid then addressed critics by saying, “I just want to say that those on the ‘far-right’ who are attacking her on a social media app that I won’t name.”

“You don’t understand how sisters move. So, watch this space. We will be here, her sisters will be here to support anything Tiffany Cross ever does. Know that. Believe that,” Reid concluded, aggressively.

Penn State professor Tonya Evans shared a clip of Reid’s spiel and declared that “@JoyAnnReid said what needed to be said.”

“The end of this story has yet to be written. We’re riding [with] @TiffanyDCross till the wheels fall off. TRUST!” Evans insisted.

Cross issued a statement following her firing where she promised to see her supporters soon while also claiming that “political violence is increasing and it’s becoming inherently more dangerous to speak the truth.”

A source close to the situation said that Cross was dumped due to “Repeated bad behavior on and off-air. Bad judgment,” according to Fox News.

Cross was previously a fill-in host for Reid’s weekend show “AM Joy” before she got her own Saturday program in 2020.
