With the polls showing that Democrats have what they believe to be an insurmountable lead in the presidential election, many like California House Rep. Adam Schiff are already taking a victory lap.
Schiff said today in a tweet, “Anticipating the harsh judgment of history, Trump’s enablers are lashing out. At everyone.”
“It will be said that when they found they lacked the courage to confront the most dangerous, unethical president in American history, they consoled themselves by attacking those who did,” he added.

It will be said that when they found they lacked the courage to confront the most dangerous, unethical president in American history,
They consoled themselves by attacking those who did.
In a Friday interview with CNN, Schiff said the “smear” campaign against Joe Biden and his ties to Ukraine originated as part of a Russian disinformation plot more than a year ago, but he did not explicitly link the Kremlin efforts to the Post story.
DNI John Ratcliffe, however, has sought to claim that Schiff was remarking that the Post story was a result of Russian disinformation, which he says is not supported by intelligence.
Ratcliffe told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo yesterday, “It’s funny that some of the people that complained the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing intelligence and unfortunately in this case, it is Adam Schiff.”
Ratcliffe stated, “Let me be clear: The intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. And we shared no intelligence with Chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”
“Don’t drag the intelligence community into this, Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign and I think the American people know that,” Ratcliffe concluded.
