Former Heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson told Newsmax’s Greta Van Susteren in an interview yesterday that he’s getting more conservative with age.
The revelations come after Tyson recently praised Trump supporter Dana White in a pair of tweets.
Tyson told Van Susteren, “Listen, if I start talking politics, my friends aren’t going to like me. Let’s just not do that, OK? Let’s just not do that. My family gets mad, my friends get mad when we talk politics.”
“When I was younger, I was all-out liberal. But as I get older, and I look at my children, and I see what’s out there in the world, I get a little conservative. It’s common sense, looking at the world we have now. You want safety,” Tyson explained.

At the beginning of the month, Tyson declared in a tweet, “Hulu tried to desperately pay my brother@danawhite millions without offering me a dollar to promote their slave master take over story about my life.”
“He turned it down because he honors friendship and treating people with dignity. I’ll never forget what he did for me just like,” Tyson added.

Prior to the 2020 election, it was reported that for the first time since his 1992 felony conviction, Tyson was eligible to vote in a presidential election and that he planned to do so.
In a tweet at the time, Tyson said, “This election will be my first time voting. I never thought I could because of my felony record. I’m proud to finally go vote.”
Tyson, however, didn’t reveal who he planned to vote for at the time and supporters of Trump or Biden lobbied for his support.
In a July episode of his podcast, Tyson predicted that he will die “really soon” and he said that he believed that would be the case due to “spots” on his face.
