Alec Baldwin Tells ‘Funny’ Story About His Driver’s Car Being Stolen After He Arrives in the UK For New Movie

In an Instagram video, actor Alec Baldwin told a “funny” story about his driver’s car being stolen after he arrived in the UK for a new movie.

According to reports, Baldwin’s shooting scenes for the upcoming film 97 Minutes, which follows a hijacked plane set to crash when its fuel runs out.

Journalist Emily Miller lamented in a tweet, “Alec Baldwin is in England. He still has his passport?”

In the video, Baldwin described what happened to him when he arrived on the island nation.

In the video, Baldwin is walking down a sparsely-populated high street in an unknown UK location and began, “I’m gonna go ahead and record this because I think it’s funny…”

“I get to the airport. I fly on a sleeper flight, and I get to the airport and I get through the immigration. I get my bags I’m heading to the car that’s gonna drive me to where I’m going,” Baldwin continued.

Baldwin then explained “And the driver says, ‘Yeah, we’re gonna go to the car park.’ I do my bad accent and there’s a giveaway as to where I am. ‘We’re gonna go to the car park. You wait right here and I’ll be back straight away.'”

“And there he goes. I don’t see him for twenty minutes, he’s gone. And I’m like, ‘Wow.’ On my itinerary, there’s a number for the car service and I call and the guy and he says, ‘I’m not your driver, I’m the owner of the company and your driver, I’ve been on the phone with him the past few minutes and he tells me his car has been stolen from the car park,'” Baldwin lamented.

Baldwin concluded, “‘Oh sh*t. What else? ‘Your driver, his car is gone.’ Then the guy comes walking up. ‘It’s gone. I’m walking around clicking my keychain, the door opener, the fob to find out where it is. I wrote down where it is, where it was.’ Anyway, I hope you found your car.”

Yesterday, Baldwin did another Instagram video of himself at the airport where he said he was “miserable” for having to leave his family.

“Settling into my least favorite place…an airport. Getting ready to do my least favorite thing…travel alone. I have only one purpose in this life. And I count the minutes until I get back to it,” Baldwin said in the post.
