It’s not often that someone in the Democrat party with as powerful a pedestal as AOC’s attacks both her own party and the GOP in a 48 hour period. After recently risking re-alienating herself from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi by attacking Democrats who won’t impeach Trump, ‘Squad leader’ AOC has now pivoted to hit the GOP even harder. She claims that not only is Trump breaking the law, but that the Republican party is letting him. She doesn’t say which law President Trump is actually breaking in her tweet though, oddly enough. In a response to James Fallows who was responding to her original intraparty slam, AOC tweeted yesterday:
“It is one thing for a sitting president to break the law. It’s another to let him.
The integrity of our democracy isn’t threatened when a president breaks the law. It‘s threatened when we do nothing about it.
The GOP’s silence & refusal to act shouldn’t be a surprise. Ours is.”

This latest round of furious Democrats screaming for President Trump to be impeached comes in the wake of a ‘whistleblower’ scandal, where an anonymous source allegedly claimed to have information that President Trump pushed a foreign government to investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Even though many outlets have reported that the whistleblower did not, in fact, have direct knowledge of the insinuations and reported by the Washington Examiner, this doesn’t matter to the Democrats who just HAVE to have President Trump out of office as soon as possible.
The strong demand coming from the left to ‘get rid’ of Trump by almost any means, is likely drawing from his bombastic anti-Democrat rhetoric in addition to his effectiveness and getting real border security solutions underway, despite Democrat’s attempts to block them.
Additionally, President Trump is appointing numerous conservative judges around the nation, has appointed two to the Supreme Court, and quite possibly will get the chance to appoint more, stacking the most powerful panel in the nation with a large right-wing tilt. The left clearly fears this and will likely continue to beat the impeachment drum for the foreseeable future.
