Attempted Carjacking Foiled By Chicago Woman With Concealed Carry License Who Shot Man in the Head

It was recently reported that an attempted carjacking was foiled by a Chicago woman with a concealed carry license who shot one of the men in the head.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday as police said the 23-year-old woman was sitting in her car shortly after 2 a.m. when four men got out of a black sedan and approached her car.

One of the men tried to open her car door while flashing a gun and the woman shot that man in the head.

The woman then ran off from her car although another of the would-be carjackers shot the woman in the left arm.

The woman was taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in fair condition while the man she shot was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in critical condition.

The other three would-be carjackers, however, reportedly got away.

Police also said that around 2:15 a.m. that same morning, an unidentified man was found in the passenger seat of a stolen black Kia Rio with a gunshot wound to the head not far from the previous incident.

It is unclear at this time if the two incidents are related, however.
