Audio Showing Kevin McCarthy Recommended That Trump Should Resign After J6 Gets Exposed By Rachel Maddow

Outrage has ensued today among conservatives as House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) has been exposed by MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow.

Audio released last night by Maddow shows that McCarthy recommended to U.S. House Rep Liz Cheney (WY) that Trump should resign after Jan. 6.

McCarthy told Cheney about Trump, “Again, the only discussion I would have with him is that I think this will pass, and it would be my recommendation that you should resign.”

McCarthy had attempted to deny the reporting that was made by the New York Times on a new book, “This Will Not Pass.”

In a long-winded statement, McCarthy claimed that it was just a case of the “corporate media” trying to “further the liberal agenda.”

“House Repub Leader Kevin McCarthy @GOPLeader says that the new NYT reporting about him is ‘totally false’ & he never said he’d call Trump to tell him to resign. That denial is false. We’ve got the tape,” Maddow declared in a tweet prior to the release.

According to the book, as reported by the New York Times, McCarthy also told other GOP leaders during a conference call on Jan. 10, 2021, that he wished big tech companies would strip some of his own members of their social media accounts like Twitter and Facebook had done with Trump.

Virginia GOP Congressional candidate Jarome Bell said about the audio, “I’m definitely against McCarthy. He’s not a leader for the people.”

Bell’s primary opponent, VA State Sen Jen Kiggans, is endorsed by McCarthy and Bell said that it shows a “lack of judgment” on her part and she will be “terrible for America.”
