Previously we reported in detail about an Idaho family whose 10-month-old baby was taken by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. In our earlier report, we told our readers how a judge had decided not to hold any more hearings until April 8th, after the baby was separated from his family.
This story has gone national as politicians and public figures have opined in the state and around the nation. Many speculated that the Anderson family may never see their child again.
In a stunning reversal, the Meridian, Idaho police department just announced that they are now returning the baby who was taken, allegedly over one missed doctor appointment and some communication mixups.
Today will be one week approximately that the baby was taken from his mom by the police in the back of an ambulance. From the Meridian police department:

Child of Concern Returned to Parents MERIDIAN- The baby amid the controversy over the last week due to an imminent danger declaration was returned to its parents today around noon. In these situations, the goal is to reunite the child to its parents as soon as it is healthy enough to be returned. Normally the parents agree to certain stipulations by the court. What those were or if there were stipulations is unknown.
There is no need to continue protesting or harassing our public health officials, police officers or anyone else involved.

Unfortunately, the fight is not over. Levi and Marissa only have Cyrus with them because they agreed to a measure of state oversight and intrusion. Meaning, CPS has to go with them to all appointments and have unlimited access to “pop in” on Levi and Marissa unannounced and all that. If they decide they don’t like any little thing, they can kidnap him again. But the most important thing is that Cyrus is with Marissa and Levi NOW. His health and wellbeing depend on it!
The adjudicatory hearing is on April 8th, and if we don’t continue this fight non-stop through then, it is still possible for the state to take him away again!
However, for now, we just want to celebrate the blessing of having Baby Cyrus back with his parents. Only through Jesus Christ and his mercy and by your constant, unceasing prayers and support, have we been able to witness this miracle!
