Joe Biden blasted former President Trump for his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic in his primetime address tonight following the passage of the 1.9 trillion dollar stimulus package which included stimulus checks. Below is the clip from his speech.
“A year ago we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked. Denials for days, weeks, then months. That led to more deaths.”

Biden claimed that Trump didn’t respond properly to the Coronavirus in March of 2020 and said because of that it led to more deaths and more loneliness.
Former President Trump was an advocate of the “15 days to slow the spread” motto when the pandemic hit and did take some minor precautions to try to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Trump wanted to open this country up while the Democrats wanted to keep things shut down longer as we see with Joe Biden. Some have argued that there were negative side effects from lockdowns that also led to death. There was little to no information on this disease when it first hit, and by the time it spread, although efforts were made to curtail it, it was too late as the terrible disease, which some claim was covered up by the Chinese government had already swept the nation.
The Democrats used this as a reason to shut down the states and the economy to impose what many saw as tyranny on the populace while families suffered.
More jobs were lost than lives and that is because of these radical restrictions by Democrats.
In retrospect, former President Trump was able to contribute to developing a vaccine in nine months from operation “Warp Speed” and now that all the work is done Biden is taking all the credit as predicted.
